My "Weather
Dressing" series found its inspiration from an antique children's
reader. Quasi fantasy images are combined with snippets of text to form
an "open" story for the viewer. The juxtaposition of the images
and the words allow for inte4rpretation and reinterpretation…the
viewer creates the story. My work has been filled with text for many
years. I am continually exploring the notion of concept versus reality.
Dual interpretations are universally found in a variety of arenas in
life…politics, relationships, advertising. The text in my work
gives the viewer an opportunity to see more than just the image.
